CE Class

“What’s Your Point of View” is the first Continuing Education (CE) Class written with a focus on luxury eyewear. Its purpose is to expose eyecare professionals to the benefits of luxury as well as the importance of giving consumers a special experience when they are making eyewear purchases. It is designed to show ECP’s that providing unique luxury product along with a value-added experience and great service will help practices stand out from the crowd and increase sales in the process. It is designed to show ECP’s that optical needs to be an important part of the overall strategy and not an afterthought to the exam functions of an office.
Although it is a course, we do try to have some fun. We start with a connection exercise meant to focus people on emotional connections. We also ask many questions and challenge people to think. Learning is much more fun when it is interactive as opposed to just memorizing and listening. I feel it is very important to always ask questions and get people thinking so they take ownership of the decisions they make. People do not want to be told what to do; they want to hear ideas and suggestions and reach their own conclusions.
In the end, this course is meant to help eyecare professionals develop their own strategy for their own unique situations. The world is no longer about “one size fitting all,” but about applying ideas to each individual situation.
